This week started early and has been busy. Monday started at 4:00am getting tax info together about taxes and was at tax office when it opened, but before going I was able to sit and watch the sun rise over Randolph County with the steam coming up off of Lake Wedowee. I needed that!!! Left the tax office and drove to Valdosta, GA for the Southeastern Farmer of the Year Banquet. Spent the night and started early Tuesday morning for Moultrie, GA for the Ag Expo and the Southeastern Farmer of the Year Luncheon and Awards Program. We saw many toys that I would like to have,... maybe someday. From here we traveled to Montgomery, AL and spent the night. The next day I met at the ALFA Office with other Farm leaders to set the policy for the Alabama Farmers Federation for the next year. Thank goodness Wednesday night we were at home! Abby and Mattie came Thursday and stayed til Friday afternoon. Mattie got her first tour of the Bowden Grove property, she loved it! We rode in the jeep with the top off and she was so happy. I don't think I have ever noticed a little one loving the forest as much as she does. She fell asleep before we left. GOD is good!
